SAM‐Clean Energy Investment Partnership (SAM‐CEIP)

The global financial crisis has left its impact also on the clean energy market. Especially small scale project developers from the developing world are hit hard and are facing difficulties in finding adequate finance sources for their projects. Investors are therefore looking for alternative financing models. In response to the global financial crisis and considering the fact that new partnerships are required SAM is creating a new form of partnership. This partnership includes commercial banks, export credit agencies, development banks and bilateral as well as multilateral organisations aiming to provide not only loans but also equity, technical and legal assistance and a professional project management for small scale project developers.The partnerships has been discussed with financial institutions, especially with the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, IFC, Inter-American Development Bank and its content has been designed accordingly. SAM CEIP is having a huge demand due to its unique combination of technological knowhow and financial expertise. SAM management team is embarking on a global tour to present the specific opportunities to project developers from emerging markets.
